Danes in the Sun | Aleksandra Mir
Danes in the Sun tells the story of Ikast, a Danish town of 23,000 inhabitants. It compiles stories from from its local historical archives, press archives, the Herning Art Museum photo archive, and contributions of those who answered Aleksandra’s ad, into a broadsheet size newspaper adorned with sepia toned, sun bleached photographs. As with much of Aleksandra’s work, it reminds us of what makes ordinary life so beautiful.
